THE PREMISE / 00:00

A season of 103 wins became a month Milwaukee will remember.

Three opponents, thirteen games, and a final out on October 28. This is a field guide to the run—built from the box scores, the reporting, and the moments still waiting on the original feeds.

DIVISION SERIES
3—1

It started
with a bounce.

In Game 1, Ty France’s ninth-inning fly ball hit a roof cable and landed in Jackson Chourio’s glove. Four nights later, Garrett Mitchell reached the wall in San Diego and took a tying home run away from Manny Machado.

Milwaukee moved on. October had its first unlikely frames.

The answer
was a sweep.

A year after Los Angeles swept Milwaukee in the NLCS, the Brewers returned the favor. In Game 4 they erased a 4–0 deficit; Mitchell’s sixth-inning homer put them ahead for good.

Jake Bauers was named NLCS MVP. Milwaukee had its first National League pennant.
